The Shay Rebellion | Christopher Shay

About

A pic of CSChristopher Shay has lived in Southeast Asia since 2007 and currently resides in Hong Kong. After a yearlong stint at the Phnom Penh Post where his work on the trafficking of men onto Thai fishing boats earned the newspaper a SOPA award, he returned to Hong Kong to work for TIME. Though he continues to write about human rights abuses and environmental disasters in the region, he has also expanded his oeuvre to include hard-hitting pieces on insect mating habits and the disappearance of Napoleon’s penis.

Growing up in Portland, Oregon instilled in Christopher a love for land-use planning, locally produced beers and photography. Today, Christopher is a swashbuckling writer and photographer for hire with a wide variety interests that include public health, technology and avocados.
